EL DIARIO DE MARY TALENCE, by Anita Heiss
Placed in Australia, El DIARIO DE MARY TALENCE tells the story of a girl investigating his own past and discovering that she was "adopted". ANITA HEISS uses this work of fiction in form of a diary to speak about one of the dark politics in Australian history: at the beginning of the last century the Australian government separated native children from their families trying to accelerate the disappearing of indigenous cultures in favour of the white colonized culture.
The author ANITA HEISS (to be conformed) and SUSAN BALLYN, 'Executive Director Australian
Studies in the English Department of the University of Barcelona', will be with us in order to present this book.

ÀFRICA, VEUS I MIRADES, by Maria Rosa Obiols
Takusan Ediciones, a small publishing house of recent appearance, was born with the clear purpose of paying attention to those kinds of literature normally rarely distributed in the western world and they do this without pegging the titles as ethnic or exotic. Their second publication is the work of Maria Rosa Obiols, specialist in African literature, who also published articles, organized recitations of poems and realized didactic discourses covering multicultural topics. With ÀFRICA, VEUS I MIRADES, the author wants to draw near to the reality of African villages in order to stimulate intercultural relationships based on mutual acquaintance and mutual appreciation.
Together with the author MARIA ROSA OBIOLS, there will be participating SIDI SECK, director of Takusan.
